Oceanside Harbor is considered something of a hidden gem by locals and citizens of north county. While the Harbor gets its share of summer tourists, parking is usually quite accessible as are the many attractions it offers.
Oceanside Harbor is quite unique because it is also home to one of San Diego’s best, biggest, and easiest to access beaches. The surfing is excellent and because of it’s location it picks up the most swell of any beach in north county, so there almost always waves.
Beyond the beach the Harbor offers sport fishing, whale watching, boat and SUP rentals, and plenty of shopping options.
Once you’ve built up an appetite, the Harbor offers dining for all occassions and tastes, including fresh seafood, handcrafted cocktails, craft beer, breakfast & brunch, oysters, lobster, sushi, pizza, ice cream, and much more. Harbor Village boasts a quaint, cape cod back drop and lots of restaurants, including Rockin’ Baja Lobster, Dominic’s Italian, Lighthouse Oyster Bar, Rising Sun Sushi Harbor, D’vino Italian Wine Bar, Harbor Fish & Chips, Stratford at the Harbor, Tony’s Sportsbar & Grill.
The harbor is super walkable! After your meal, enjoy the serenity with a nice stroll around the harbor and check out the boats, the seals, and just relax in one of the most beautiful spots in all of San Diego.
